Fossil Creek

Description: This site is actually a canyon run with a strong permanent creek which is only in the last few years been restored to its flow by APS. Historically, it flowed, then APS diverted it and now the flow has been restored. It is a beautiful creek and canyon and deserves attention from those willing to take the long drive to get here. Vegtation is mixed old and new riparian growth. The creek flows fairly fast as it runs from the high country into the Verde River at Childs, Arizona. Read more here by clicking here.
