Red Rock State Park

Description: This is a State Park located just outside Sedona on Red Rock Loop road. It features a wonderful trail along Oak Creek with many opportunities to observes birds in dense riparian settings. There exists some desert habitat also for those who wish to record a different bird community right next to the riparian group.

Bird watching is taken seriously here and guided walks are available.

Restrictions and fees: $10.00 entrance fee

Elevation: 3900'

Ease of road access: Paved access from the West.

Ease of hiking access: Trails are well maintained and easy.

Approximate area size: 0.4 sq miles

Frequency of use by public: Moderate to heavy use.

Parking facilities: All roads and parking areas are paved.

Non-bird Interests: Hiking, archeology, history, picnicking
